Good grief! She's still a baby! She can't want to grow up already! Put bricks on her head! Feed her Alice's shrinking potion! Tell her to stop growing up already! Yeeesh!
Hmmm...all I'm expecting this week is a paycheck and my glasses....both of which I'll be quite happy to have, but I'm sure not nearly as happy as you will be. :D
In my entry for Feb 15 - 'Calling Back' there's this > ["...having prayed about the matter, one is to give thanks to the Lord, because you know that He has heard you, and is *right now* working in the situation, despite all appearances to the contrary. Keep on trusting that He IS working - against all seeming...."] which I was able to teach our own three year old, because the sorrow I wrote about was happening at that time. When I tucked her up at nights, and prayed with her, I knew I was teaching her the concept of trusting when things look contrary, and knowing that He is hearing us. Before that, I think I wouldn't have thought of teaching a 3 year old to pray that way, but we were in the middle of the situation, and I was praying through tears . She didn't know of the cause of those tears, but I always felt that the Lord of course had known what we would be facing, far ahead of that time, and three years before sent us a baby daughter whose smiles would help us through. Nan.
oh dear - it really is time I went to bed. Instead of that "nearly 60 years ago", please read "nearly 40 years ago" - I am definitely NOT 100 yrs old........yet! Nan.
The comforting knowledge that God is in control all the time brings such strength. And the times that he gives us little glimpses of his hand is mind boggling.
