...but you already knew that.

Something that maybe you didn't know though:

I don't like to wear shoes when I'm playing the piano.

Is anybody else weird like that? If it's a lot of bodies that are, than maybe we're the normal bunch and the shoe wearers are the weird ones...

Sometimes I wish I was a cloud.

I don't like to wear shoes ever unless I'm putting on the Ritz and need a knock-'em-dead pair of heels to set it off.

Well, there's that too. Though when the weather is colder and I wear socks I have to have something else on my feet. There are too many kids around here, and I hate to step in spilled water.

But even if I'm playing for Church I'll slip my shoes off....

I know just what you mean.

I don't like wearing shoes when I'm taking a bath. It's just one of my many little foibles! ;)

Seriously, I took great pleasure in playing barefoot...very tactile.

Maybe we have a strange brain/foot wiring connection!

Or maybe everyone else does... ;)

I can go either way, really. I won't go to the trouble of taking my shoes off, but if they're already off, I certainly don't go to the trouble of putting them on.

Ah well, hopefully you don't feel too badly that you're not one of the chosen few... ;)

Naw, I'm okay with it. From the looks of the comments, us shoe-indifferent folk are the chosen few... (-;

It's not just you: I like to play with my shoes off, too.
Not enough to take them off during church, mind, but at home, I like to play in my sock feet. It's comfy.

The more the merrier...

and weirder.

Guy wants me to come downstairs and watch CSI:NY. I'd rather sit up here and talk to my friendsy-wendsies.

*giggle snort*

Guy asked me what I was doing and I said, "Hang a minute; I'm trying to win an exclamation point war with Holly."

Add another to the no-shoes brigade...The one exception is that I don't mind wearing my organ shoes. I think the reason is that the sole is thin enough that I can feel the pedal...because the pedalling motion is a bit awkward with the heel on the organ shoes.

It's been a source of running joke in every church I've ever played for that I go around in sock feet...and it's true...I'll end up all over the building in my socks. Much more comfortable that way (although it can be surprising in the winter to find somebody's footstep where the snow has melted off their boots!).

Cool!

And organ shoes count (as not shoes ;). Being able to feel, I think, is the main reason I don't like to wear shoes.

Yes, winter can be a problem. *grin*

I don't like playing the organ with organ shoes, I prefer socks. I have been known to go wandering around Church in my socks in the same way too. One time, when I was about Fred's age, we had a sleepover at Church. All us boys played soccer on the carpet with a tennis ball. We didn't notice until we stopped that we'd all carpet-burnt huge big holes in our socks! Mothers were not impressed but the game was well worth it ;)

I guess we weren't at the age where we had to use our own money to buy new socks, although I think a few mothers might have decided it was after that!

I like to play the organ with socks on but not with my organ shoes.

I don't like to play sport in bare feet, I prefer shoes on.

I kick off my shoes the moment I step into our house... but that's normal for most Asian homes. =) I love going barefoot!

If my shoes get too tight at work, I change to slippers. Hehe

We don't wear shoes in our house either, unless they aren't worn outside. But that's because we have light carpet. :)

When my boss isn't around I take my shoes off. ;)

That's funny...=) I think my boss doesn't bother to look at my feet. All our "customers" are internal people, anyway.

We're required to wear socks and closed toe shoes because of the buses...even though some of us are up in the office all the time...

I don't wear shoes in the house, but I do like them for piano playing because it makes it easier to use the pedal. :-) If I'm going to pedal a lot, I'll often find a shoe or slipper to put on.

I take off my shoes to drum whenever posssible. Mind you, I hate wearing shoes, but I love wearing socks... is that wierd?

Not weird at all! The only reason I'll wear shoes with socks is if I have to, or if I'm working in the kitchen where somebody's sure to have spilt something...or if my feet are really cold. But then I don't wear shoes, I wear Birkenstocks. ;)

I dislike playing the piano without shoes because our pedals have rather sharp edges (they aren't rounded on the end). Also, it almost hurts my feet to keep pressing on the pedals unless I have the added protection of shoes.
