Michael Card this time:

"To know [God] is what eyes and ears are for."

We have been created for this purpose. To know God and to bring glory to His Name.

I have one of his CD's and it's great. You can hear him on the radio in some places but not around here =/

Cha, us too.

I love The Way of Wisdom and his two CD set, The Life (which I believe is a compilation of some of his others).

I have The Life and Ancient Faith which are both compilation double cd sets. I really like Poema which my brother has...700 miles away... ;)

Poiema. Sorry, I can't help myself.

Yes, I have The Ancient Faith also. Oh. Duh. Yeah. That's how I have The Way of Wisdom, 'cause it's on that. Hello, Kellie. LOL

It's not exactly a quote about God but one of my favourite Michael Card quotes is "You never see a bald guy or a fat woman in CCM." Or words to that effect.

So had I. Glad I remembered. I wouldn't be surprised if my sister got off with mine. Nice icon!

I need to get onto creating some for me sometime. It's in the 'must get around to it one day' list at the moment.

i read this after i went to mamanan's hymn....

Heav’n above is softer blue, Earth around is sweeter green!
Something lives in every hue Christless eyes have never seen;
Birds with gladder songs o’erflow, flowers with deeper beauties shine,
Since I know, as I now know, I am His, and He is mine.
Since I know, as I now know, I am His, and He is mine.

i think since i don't have any old hymns, i'll go dig up michael's 'starkindler' tape for tomorrow's ride to church.

thanks, sisterheart!

I love that hymn! I memorized it when I was a young teen...it seemed to me the perfect simplicity of Christianity.
