Hilary and Hailie make cookies...

Whoo-hoo! Hilary said that she can help me make cookies! First we put in the eggs. Hilary tells me to give it two bangs on the bowl, then put my thumbs in and pry it open, she even shows me with one. I think it would work better if I banged it five or six times. Oops! It opened and fell into the bowl!

Next I get to pour in some buttermilk. There’s a little bit left in the cup, so I better drink it; boy is it good! When Hilary puts in the vanilla, I ask if I can lick off the measuring spoon. Hilary said that I could, but that I probably wouldn’t like it. My, was she ever right! I think that the mixer should go faster, so I speed it up…Hilary doesn’t think that a very good idea though.

Next we need to put in some flour. I start to measure it out, but Hilary doesn’t let me. She is so ignorant of my capabilities! Now we put in something that Hilary calls “cocoa” but I’m sure it’s chocolate (it even smells like it!).

Hilary gets out some chocolate chips and asks me if I want any! That sure is a silly question. She gives me three...

...and says that I can put the ones in the measuring cup into the cookie dough.

Finally I can have the beater!

The boys want so too, so I give them tastes from my finger...Ford...

...Freeman...

...Finn...

Hannah doesn’t think it’s worth while to ask me, but goes straight to the bowl and snitches some!

I also found that sucking my thumb was quite tasty.

I now have more important duties to attend to, so I let Fred bake the cookies for me. Boy do those look good! I can’t wait to taste them!

Wowser! They taste delicious! I sure am a good cook!
